Coming to Hardware, Major difference between these two phones was Screen size which Pixel was 5" Inch where as Pixel XL puts 5"5 Inch Display. And additional advantage here in Pixel XL is it comes with Quad HD AMOLED Display which is equal to Samsung's Galaxy S7 Display.
Battery in Pixel XL was also higher (3,450 mAh) when compared to Pixel (2,770 mAh).
Coming to Display and Sound, both displays were identical and there are no curved edges or any other additional technology added here but decent screen with high color reproduction which is greatly visible even in out doors.
Coming to Software, Both phones coming with Android 7.1 out of the box with more stock Android feel. And also Google added some additional features which are like placing a dedicated camera button on right side of the phone. And also Google Assistant which acts similar to Siri in Iphone. But still have to check whether Assistant is as good as Siri.
Google comes up with new Laucher called "Pixel" which is very nice and eye catching to users.Also one of the main important feature here is Google is giving unlimited high resolution photos backups to Pixel phone users.
